Ben Sollee

Folk R&B cellist and songwriter Ben Sollee’s soulful singing and poetic lyrics draw on his Kentucky roots. His unique approach to the cello playfully jumps between genres. He has a long arch of collaborations with artists such as My Morning Jacket and Bela Fleck. He’s also a champion of social and environmental causes, having biked with his cello around the country on his Ditch the Van tours. In addition to his songwriting, Ben composes for film and television, having worked with Robin Wright on her film, Land, and John Slattery for his movie, Maggie Moore(s).
