As a lyricist and melodic writer, Emerson Bruno evokes a sentimental and familiar quality that captivates listeners. Compelling lyrics of the universal human condition create a sense of understanding that is packed into unique arrangements.   General Purpose is a Progressive Rock Band based in Greensboro, NC. The group utilizes unconventional instruments such as clarinet and violin and puts them into a rock context. Drawing influence from progressive rock acts such as Jethro Tull, Yes, Genesis and others, combined with Classical and Jazz influence, songwriters Xul Rutty (Bass/Vocals) and Uno Dos Santos (Guitar) create a unique atmosphere that varies from angelic to intense within the same song. General Purpose is dedicated to creating a unique and interactive concert experience to demand the audiences full attention, even collaborating with visual artists.   FM Snow’s unique brand of noisy indie rock offers audiences an unforgettable fusion of musical styles. Brainchild of Greensboro-based composer Cameron Rabb, the band synthesizes a diverse array of influences from math rock, to funk, to folk, and back again. The band seeks to make odd rhythms groovy, find joy in melancholy, and make complexity approachable.

Backed by Luke Rettie on Drums, Tony Luz on Lead Guitar, and Kenny Damron on bass, the quintet set about playing live shows while fleshing out a collection of songs soon to be recorded as their debut studio album in early 2023. A few line-up changes soon followed as Kenny moved and was replaced by bassist Lucifer Josts, & Erich stepped away from playing live shows to focus on writing/recording with the band. Tony would also move away in late 2023, but not before tracking solos for the upcoming album. Currently playing live as a trio, the band recorded its new record as a quartet.
