The Weasels are a 5 piece Rock and Roll band hailing from the Mountains of Appalachia in Boone, NC. In 2021 these five friends started crafting their sonic blend of rock music in a cinderblock garage. Drawing from influences that span across decades – from the heavy backbeats of the 1970s and energy of the 1980s hair metal legends, to the the riff based rock of the 1990s and 2000s, combined with unhinged live performances, The Weasels are set to make their mark as honest, true-to-form rock and rollers.
Benefit for Marc Meeker
Hey folks. Last November Josh, Bunk and I had the chance to play with our friend and former bandmate Will Little. Since that night we’ve been talking about reuniting our old band Loop for a show sometime this year. In that time another friend and former band mate, Marc Meeker, has been experiencing some severe medical problems that have set him back both physically and financially. In the spirit of extended community and friendship we’ve decided to book a benefit show from 3pm – 9pm on Sunday June 9th. The owners (Josh King and Abby Spoon) of the Flat Iron in Greensboro have generously agreed to host the event. The band lineup will feature a Loop reunion set as well as several current and former musical projects featuring members of The Ends. The full lineup will be released over the next week. Marc has been faced with a series of health challenges that have significantly impacted his life and ability to pursue his dreams. Marc has been diagnosed with diverticulitis, a painful and debilitating condition, and has lived with this disease for 20 years, which have caused repeated emergency hospital visits and stays. Last year, he experienced a medical emergency when his liver became infected, leading to hospitalization and undergoing several major surgeries to address this critical health issue. These surgeries have been lifesaving but have also placed a tremendous financial burden on Marc. As an independent contractor and the owner of Meeker Audio, Marc relies solely on his work in the music industry to make a living and support himself. The mounting medical expenses, and loss of income has put his livelihood at risk. An Evening with Chatham Rabbits
There is something warm and instantly familiar about the beloved roots duo, Chatham Rabbits. Partners in music and life, Chatham Rabbits’ Austin and Sarah McCombie blend their personal histories through deft songwriting and a history that comes from building a life together. Leaning into each other’s strengths, their songs present a congenial, collaborative spirit that has captured the pure adoration of fans along the way and earned them praise from Garden & Gun Magazine, American Songwriter, and No Depression. Their artistry hinges on a fervent desire to connect with others through the music that first brought the pair together. Steeped in the regional traditions of their North Carolina home, Chatham Rabbits’ musical pursuits represent a new age of roots music. Chatham Rabbits recorded and released their beloved debut album, All I Want From You in 2019. This set the standard for their sophomore release The Yoke is Easy, The Burden is Full—the centerpiece song “Oxen” was named “Top Folk Song of 2020” by Paste Magazine. Nurtured by central North Carolina’s fertile, influential music scene, Chatham Rabbits’ sound continues to evolve in their expansive third album, If You See Me Riding By (2022), which was simultaneously released with a television series, On the Road with Chatham Rabbits, on PBS-NC. The McCombies ingenuity during the Covid-19 crisis led to the creation of their mobile concert experience, The Stay at Home Tour, which took the duo to 194 neighborhoods in 2020-21. The pair is currently recording their fourth album of poignant original songs and continuing to foster their tight-knit fan community across the US.

Originally from North Carolina and now based in Nashville, Charles embodies the modern singer/songwriter. Often compared to Ryan Adams, Jason Isbell and James Taylor, he has quickly established himself in the Americana scene. Growing up in Charlotte, surrounded by bluegrass and folk, he absorbed the South’s storytelling traditions. His music, inspired by his upbringing, tells tales of love, loss and the pursuit of freedom. In Nashville, he began blending classic country with indie rock’s gritty edge.

Bedroom Division with briZB and Liam Martin
Mellow, woozy and romantic indie-rock/pop from Greensboro, NC. Bedroom Division is the recording project from songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dylan Wishon. Fusing mellow, jangly guitar with soft spoken synths, shimmering and dreamy vocals, and themes inspired by the joy and heartbreak associated with young love; Bedroom Division fits nicely in the genre family of dream pop, bedroom pop and indie rock. Creating soundscapes inspired by well known artists such as Mac DeMarco, boy pablo, Rex Orange County, and The Strokes.
Saphron w/ Ins Kino
US singer-songwriter Zoe Anastasia Hardee began using the Saphron moniker in 2014 for a series of quirky and melancholic lo-fi recordings. Over the late 2010s the project expanded into a bombastic 3-piece art rock outfit featuring her longtime collaborators Ari Brewington Moore and Ian Waddill. The group has been lauded for their captivating, deeply emotive live performances, and their genre-defying post-punk sound.Ins Kino, the musical project of Raleigh, NC-based songwriter Evan Farkas, presents his second EP, Ins Kino 2. It presents 4 new tracks, each revealing a new avenue for Farkas’ continued melodic exploration. Farkas started as Ins Kino around 2019, as an outlet to channel and present the songwriting he’d been doing for years on his own. The first two EPs were composed solo by Farkas, with significant input from Zack O’Brien (Yucky Duster, Starstruck, Slonk Donkerson), Farkas’ longtime friend and collaborator. Since 2022, Ins Kino has branched into a dynamic live act composed of himself and N.C. Triangle stalwarts Justin Ellis (Ravary, Easter Island), Kenny Florence (Annuals, Sunfold), Thomas McNeely (Jenny Besetzt, Cor de Lux), and Mike Robinson (Annuals, Sunfold, Lonnie Walker). Farkas takes his songwriting cues from the melody-soaked 60s, while his lyrical and sonic themes pull from all over the audio-visual timeline. Harmonies, strings, and a grand sense of scale pervade each song, but there is an intentional effort to make every song stand on the foundational relationship between melody, chords, and feel. Produced by Zack O’Brien at River Run Recording, Ins Kino 2 expands on Ins Kino’s chamber pop sound with evocative lyricism and arrangments, creating a dynamic offering that falls somewhere between post-Tranquility Arctic Monkeys and Grizzly Bear, with a heavy dose of The Beatles, Scott Walker, and Sinatra.
