Duck started in 2016 as 5 great friends in Raleigh, NC enjoyed weekend jam sessions together. Inevitably those sessions transferred into writing music and playing house parties. As the word spread about this new local band playing funky, soulful, bluesy tunes, Duck began booking gigs at venues around North Carolina and sharing their passion for making crowds boogie to their upbeat funky sound.

The Nth Power believes in the healing power of music. Featuring guitarist Nick Cassarino, bassist Nate Edgar and drummer Nikki Glaspie, the seasoned trio delivers a transcendent blend of soul, funk, rock and rhythm and blues. Multi-part vocal harmonies and elevated musicianship inspires audiences to dance, groove, make love or just stand there with goose bumps.    The Nth Power’s electric live performances have been flooring audiences ever since the group first aligned in New Orleans during Jazz Fest. After the band’s breakout 2013 EP, Basic Minimum Skills Test, The Nth Power went on to release two acclaimed studio albums and two live albums – garnering national coverage in Relix, Modern Drummer, Huffington Post, Glide, Consequence, Okayplayer, Paste and Sirius XM Radio.   The trio’s individual music credentials include collaborating with artists like Beyonce, Snarky Puppy, Maceo Parker, Dumpstaphunk, Big Daddy Kane and John Brown’s Body. “It’s my dream team,” said bandleader and drummer Glaspie. “Each one of us is a songwriter, so when we get together, everything becomes that much stronger. We’re going as far as you can go on the planet Earth and playing music.”    The Nth Power’s inspirational sets have floored audiences at music festivals like Electric Forest, High Sierra, Peachfest, North Coast Music Festival and Hulaween. They maintain New Orleans as their spiritual home, and the celebratory essence of that city’s music culture is palpable in each performance. Simply put, there is something pretty magical happening in this band, and they’re only just getting started.

It all started with an invitation to play at George Clinton’s birthday party on July 22, 1998. The brain child of Zack “#9” Roberson, this funky group of young men began this amazing trip together on the stage of the Lion’s Den, in the East Village of New York City.Having a direct Mothership Connection, the music is live, in-yo-face FUNK, with an emphasis on the sounds of Parliament-Funkadelic (P-FUNK), Prince, Jimi Hendrix, Sly & the Family Stone, Mother’s Finest, and all of the other fathers of FUNK. In 2024, Zack Roberson and his Nappy Head Funk Army were inducted into the Funk Hall of Fame in Dayton, Ohio.Nappyhead is a direct seed of George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, and the P-Funk Allstars. Coming in hot from festival circuits such as Hopscotch Music Festival and sharing the stage with world class acts like Mandrill, new music releases and recently announced tour dates, the Nappy Head Funk Army is ramping up a loyal global fanbase with their fresh 22nd century rebirth of the FUNK.

As the word spread about this new local band playing funky, soulful, bluesy tunes, Duck began booking gigs at venues around North Carolina and sharing their passion for making crowds boogie to their upbeat funky sound.  In 2021, with the addition of Donnie Tyree on vocals, Duck has found their groove both performing and writing originals with a solid assembly of talent: Donnie Tyree on vocals, Chuck Rhew on keys, Chris Holloway on bass and Fred Dees on drums and electric washboard. All band members participate in writing music and lyrics.

Recently, they have gained attention for a smoking tribute to Jimi Hendrix with funk and sacred steel influenced versions of classic hits and cuts. The Loud Music Company was founded in 2020 by world renowned choreographer Tina Landon and artist Michael Cole after relocating from Los Angeles to Wilmington, North Carolina.  It may be easier to google Tina and Michael than to list all their accolades; they have worked with Prince, Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Pink, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, and countless more.  “LMC” is a brick and mortar music center where hundreds of music lessons are taught, and some of the rarest vintage instruments can be found. In 2022, Michael formed the band “Lilly & the Loud Music Company”, with some of the most talented musicians one could ever find.  In their first year, they played over 40 shows and are currently in the studio recording their debut album to be released in 2023. E’Lon JD is an American progressive soul artist, bass player, songwriter, and educator. He has found inspiration from artist such as, Jimi Hendrix, Andre 3000, and John Legend to name a few. His sound combines elements of soul, funk, jazz, and rock and could be described best as melodic driven, feel good music. He has recorded with acts such as, Phony Ppl, and The Gregory Bros., and has shared the stage with Belá Fleck, Members of Snarky Puppy, Victor Wooten, and Weedie Braimah. He is currently the bass player in the internationally touring band Jonathan Scales Fourchestra.
