Duck started in 2016 as 5 great friends in Raleigh, NC enjoyed weekend jam sessions together. Inevitably those sessions transferred into writing music and playing house parties. As the word spread about this new local band playing funky, soulful, bluesy tunes, Duck began booking gigs at venues around North Carolina and sharing their passion for making crowds boogie to their upbeat funky sound. In 2021, with the addition of Donnie Tyree on vocals, Duck has found their groove both performing and writing originals with a solid assembly of talent: Donnie Tyree on vocals, Chuck Rhew on keys, Chris Holloway on bass and Fred Dees on drums and electric washboard. All band members participate in writing music and lyrics.

Combining elements of funk, rock, funky rock, and rock-funk, they write funky melodies and soulful melodies. Sexbruise? has been featured at Sweetwater 420 Fest, Hulaween, Rooster Walk Music and Arts Festival, Floyd Fest, and Resonance Fest, and will be announcing other sehk festies soon. They have also toured extensively on the highly sought-after Wild Wings Circuit, playing places such as Wild Wings Myrtle Beach, Wild Wings Macon Georgia, Wild Wings Spartanburg, and many many more. Sexbruise?’s shows can be described as a giant party. The tunes are memorable, the stage presence exciting, and the antics unpredictable. And there are snacks. Thrown from the stage. The band has prepared pancakes and pizza on stage, brought out dancers in animal costumes, hired fake demonstrators to protest their shows, and many more other cool things. w/ Future JoyFuture Joy is a Future-Funk hybrid duo hailing from wherever their mobile RV stage is parked. Planting their home base roots in both Denver, CO and St. Petersburg, FL has allowed Emily Cooper & Zach Simms to travel the country playing shows and connecting all the cities in between and beyond. Blending elements of funk, house, bass, pop, drum and bass, hip-hop, techno, jazz, dubstep and more; Future Joy takes the listener on a joyous adventure with no musical boundaries. Both artists DJ, sing, and play keyboard while Zach shreds tenor, baritone, and bass saxophones in the key of fun.

The band has graced the stage with artists such as George Porter Jr. of the Meters, Eric Gales, the late Kofi Burbridge of the Derek Trucks Band, Snoop Dogg and more. Recently, they have gained attention for a smoking tribute to Jimi Hendrix with funk and sacred steel influenced versions of classic hits and cuts. The Loud Music Company was founded in 2020 by world renowned choreographer Tina Landon and artist Michael Cole after relocating from Los Angeles to Wilmington, North Carolina. It may be easier to google Tina and Michael than to list all their accolades; they have worked with Prince, Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Pink, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, and countless more. “LMC” is a brick and mortar music center where hundreds of music lessons are taught, and some of the rarest vintage instruments can be found. In 2022, Michael formed the band “Lilly & the Loud Music Company”, with some of the most talented musicians one could ever find. In their first year, they played over 40 shows and are currently in the studio recording their debut album to be released in 2023. The Loud Music Company is fronted by Lilly Triolo (lead vocals) accompanied by 2 female background singers, all choreographed and directed by Tina Landon.They have shared the stage with Big Something, Maggie Rose, LIT, Hoobastank, Alien Ant Farm, and Lespecial. They have played Greenfield Lake Amphitheater, The Big WHAT Festival, Porsche Club of America, and sell out almost every venue in and around the Wilmington area, recently headling and selling out Thalian Hall in Wilmington, NC. Lilly’s voice cuts with precision through a heavy mix of seamlessly blended pop, rock, country, soul, and funk. E’Lon JD is an American progressive soul artist, bass player, songwriter, and educator. He has found inspiration from artist such as, Jimi Hendrix, Andre 3000, and John Legend to name a few. His sound combines elements of soul, funk, jazz, and rock and could be described best as melodic driven, feel good music. He has recorded with acts such as, Phony Ppl, and The Gregory Bros., and has shared the stage with Belá Fleck, Members of Snarky Puppy, Victor Wooten, and Weedie Braimah. He is currently the bass player in the internationally touring band Jonathan Scales Fourchestra.

John Papa Gros
New Orleans native John “Papa” Gros (pronounced grow) has spent more than a quarter-century championing the music of the Crescent City. He is a bedrock New Orleans artist, a keyboardist, singer/songwriter who draws on funk, rhythm & blues and Americana songcraft; he also knows his way around the Mardi Gras music repertoire about as well as anyone. With River’s on Fire, “Papa” turns over a new leaf with his second solo CD.. It’s a record that mixes the sounds of rock & roll, funk and rootsy Americana into a genre-bending gumbo that carries on the tradition of New Orleans, both honoring its past and helping to shape its future. River’s on Fire is John’s first release since his former band, Papa Grows Funk, disbanded in 2013. River’s On Fire finds Gros showcasing his talent on the keys while furthering his well-deserved reputation as one of New Orleans’ notable songwriters. Each song has its own distinct personality, be it party songs, melancholy numbers, funk-fueled tunes or upbeat rockers, with the influence of Allen Toussaint serving as the common denominator. River’s on Fire is one life-long Big Easy troubadour and composer paying tribute to another.Throughout his career, John “Papa” Gros has been a bandleader. A sideman. A singer. An instrumentalist. With River’s on Fire, he is a solo artist once again.
